An addictive classic

One does not simply stop playing civilization, as this addictive franchise gave birth to the "one more turn" meme. How does Civ6 stack though? For one, the gameplay and feel is still the same, making players want to go "one more turn" even t6hough they already cleared the entire game or are already too sleepy. The setting is simple, you play a historical figure and guide your civilization into the future and beating all others by points, and that is what makes it so addicting. I spent 12 hours playing this in one sitting and did not realize I missed dinner. Truly a masterpiece that is up there with previous Civ games.

A classic 4X

A 4X that focuses on economic strategy and city development. There is also military strategy and tactics, but they are less developed here than in other 4X games (Heroes of Might and Magic, for example).

Still one of the best entries in the franchise

Civilization VI is still one of the best entries in the series, even years later. It nails that classic “one more turn” feeling with deep strategy, satisfying empire-building, and enough variety to keep campaigns fresh for ages. Despite its age, it remains incredibly easy to recommend, especially since it arguably outshines Civilization VII overall. If you’re deciding where to start, play Civilization V or VI first. It’s polished, endlessly replayable, and a stronger showcase of what makes Civilization so addictive in the first place.
