Frequently asked questions

How do I earn XP?

XP rewards your contributions to building an engaged community: adding a bio (+5 XP) and a profile picture (+5 XP), following other members (+5 XP), posting reviews (+1 XP), receiving likes (+5 XP), comments (+10 XP), followers (+5 XP), referring new sign-ups (+20 XP)…

Does past XP count, or only the current month?

Only XP earned during the current month counts for the contest. Your total XP and your level keep growing on your profile, but the leaderboard resets on the 1st of every month, so newcomers always have a real chance to win.

What happens in case of a tie?

The participant whose TomeHero account is the oldest takes the higher rank.

Who can participate?

Anyone aged 18 or older with a verified email who requests to join. Our team then approves participants based on the original content they publish — reviews, articles or videos where you share your personal opinion. Quality matters more than quantity.

When are winners announced and paid?

The winner is contacted by email once the contest ends, and their Amazon gift card delivered digitally within 30 days. Podium badges appear on profiles as soon as the tournament closes.

Can XP be removed?

Yes. If you delete a review or a post, the XP it earned (along with XP from its likes and comments) is reversed. Our team may also adjust the score of contributions that don't reflect the tournament's spirit of original, good-faith content.

Contest Rules

What is the Heroes' Tournament?

A monthly contest where participants compete to earn the most XP on TomeHero. Write reviews, get likes, gain followers, suggest new works — every action that earns XP counts!

Who can participate?

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Your email address must be verified.
  • You must request to join and be approved by our team, which reviews participants based on the quality of the original content they publish (reviews, articles or videos sharing a personal opinion).

How is the score calculated?

Your score is the total XP earned during the contest period. All XP-granting actions count: writing reviews, receiving likes, gaining followers, having suggestions approved, and more.

What are the prizes?

The winner of the month receives an Amazon gift card, whose amount is specified for each tournament and sent by email within 30 days after the contest ends. 2nd and 3rd place receive a silver and a bronze badge, displayed permanently on their profile.

Editorial validation & fair play

Taking part in the tournament is curated by our team. We highlight members who publish original content that genuinely helps other readers and players — and who support the community fairly toward the other participants. To protect that spirit, we may review a participant's standing or take them out of the ranking. This only affects the tournament ranking, never the XP shown on your profile.
