Tournament Rules
Everything you need to know before competing in the Heroes' Tournament.
1 What is the Heroes' Tournament?
A monthly contest where participants compete to earn the most XP on TomeHero. Write reviews, get likes, gain followers, suggest new works — every action that earns XP counts!
Each tournament runs for a specific period (usually one month). During this time, every XP-earning action on TomeHero counts toward your tournament score. The more you contribute, the higher you climb!
2 Who can participate?
To participate in the Heroes' Tournament, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Your email address must be verified.
- You must request to join and be approved by our team, which reviews participants based on the quality of the original content they publish (reviews, articles or videos sharing a personal opinion).
- One account per person — the tournament rewards real people and genuine contributions.
3 How is the score calculated?
Your score is the total XP earned during the contest period. All XP-granting actions count: writing reviews, receiving likes, gaining followers, having suggestions approved, and more.
TomeHero team members don't compete in the rankings.
XP is awarded in real time. Your leaderboard position updates instantly as you earn points. In case of a tie, the participant whose TomeHero account is the oldest takes the higher rank.
4 What are the prizes?
The winner of the month receives an Amazon gift card, whose amount is specified for each tournament and sent by email within 30 days after the contest ends. 2nd and 3rd place receive a silver and a bronze badge, displayed permanently on their profile.
Winners are contacted via email after the contest ends. Gift cards are delivered digitally within 30 business days. If a winner does not respond within 14 days, the prize may be forfeited.
5 Editorial validation & fair play
Taking part in the tournament is curated by our team. We highlight members who publish original content that genuinely helps other readers and players — and who support the community fairly toward the other participants. To protect that spirit, we may review a participant's standing or take them out of the ranking. This only affects the tournament ranking, never the XP shown on your profile.
Concretely, we favor members who share their own, sincere opinions and who engage respectfully with the rest of the community. A participant's standing may be reviewed when their contributions stop reflecting that — for example duplicate accounts, content that doesn't express a genuine personal viewpoint, or interactions arranged only to inflate a score rather than to support fellow heroes. These editorial decisions are final.
6 Data & Privacy
By participating, you agree that your username, avatar, and XP score will be displayed on the public leaderboard. Your email address is used solely for prize delivery and will not be shared. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
