Silly, sweet, and more heartfelt than it appears

Spy x Family is still ongoing, so I cannot speak to how it all comes together in the end, but so far it is a delightful read. On the surface, it is a cute, funny family romp packed with great comedic timing and lovable character moments. Underneath that, though, is a surprising amount of emotional depth. Somehow Tatsuya Endo gave Loid, Yor, and Anya all fairly dark backstories, then turned them into one of the most charming found families in manga. That contrast is what makes it work so well: silly, sweet, and much more heartfelt than it first appears.
