Breathes a bit of fresh life into a classic

As someone who grew up playing hundreds of hours of Halo, I'm firmly in the target audience for this remake. It has its fair share of positives, but unfortunately it has some serious drawbacks.

The good: it adds modern QoL features like sprinting and quality aim assist/bullet magnetism. It also upgrades the graphics significantly, though I'd argue they went too far with the aesthetic, which feels very neon and bright and loses some of the original's character. I also love the changes they made to some repetitive levels and the new gun options to explore.

The bad: enemy AI, especially the Flood, is really poor at times. I also ran into issues with melee registration and phantom deaths. The three new prequel missions are uninspiring at best.

All in all, I greatly enjoyed the first half of my play experience with Campaign Evolved and would rate it a 9/10. Bugs and issues (most notably with the Flood) took the back half of the game down to a 6/10 for me, which balances to roughly a 7 overall.
