A real plot that unfolds with care
On top of that, the post-apocalyptic world of the franchise is well done, with a good dose of humor thrown in too.

Retro-style adventures in a nuclear world
Unlike a lot of post-apocalyptic shows, this one feels fun and upbeat, even when the characters are up against it. The series takes all the typical themes – fighting for survival, dodging dangerous creatures that want to kill you, escaping humans that have returned to tribal behaviour – and puts a big, kitsch 1950s spin on it.
The set design alone makes this worth watching, but I also love the way the characters interact and evolve alongside the plot. The casting and acting are spot on, particularly Lucy (Ella Purnell) and Cooper Howard/The Ghoul (Walton Goggins). I think Kyle MacLachlan also deserves credit for managing to nail the part of Hank so well that you genuinely find it hard to tell whether he’s a cheery good guy or sinister overlord.

One of the few excellent video game adaptations
The leads (Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Aaron Moten) in Fallout are nothing short of magnetic, and their skill is brought out all the more by top-notch writing with plenty of wit.
The creators have done something special here. They took an established IP and made something new that actually fits with the feel and aesthetic of the games. After two very strong seasons, I don't believe the show will falter.

Wit, Humor, and a Great Plot
Boy, was I wrong! There's a genuine storyline here, spanning 200 years, with twists and connections that only become clear as you go along.
Plus, there's plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor in the exaggerated confrontations between the overly sheltered vault dwellers and the outside world.
