A true 10/10 sci-fi exploration of time

Dark is a German sci-fi series that intricately explores time travel through a close look at a small German town. It's a series so packed with subtle details in the cinematography and dialogue that it rewards multiple viewings. While the final season can be a bit overly complicated and confusing, it provides a satisfying ending to a series filled with complex, messy characters. After finishing the show for a second time, it's even more clear how much planning and care went into Dark. The show's time travel elements raise questions about free will and destiny, and it's easy to find yourself wondering how different you'd be if even one small detail in the past were changed.

A Bit Messy at the End, but Gripping

Time travel stories can be a real headache when it comes to keeping things coherent (I mean, I've never quite wrapped my head around how John Connor sends his father back in time to protect his mother and father himself...).

Dark dives headfirst into these kinds of paradoxes. At first, you're flooded with questions and can't wait to see what happens next to make sense of it all...

But as you get closer to the end, the more tangled it gets. Well, at least that's how it felt to me 😅
