Le mot de la rédaction, par Tome Mis à jour le 04/05/2026 Paperwork, prophecy, and a Japan falling apart
Kazuaki Terasawa directs this anime adaptation set in a near future where Japan has fragmented into three nations after a chain of nuclear, natural, and political disasters. Beneath the political chessboard, the elite hoard privileges while the masses live with brutal precarity, and every choice feels expensive.
The Story
Nippon Sangoku follows Aoteru Misumi, a discreet, low rank bureaucrat who keeps a quiet dream: a reunified Japan. After a personal drama reshapes his resolve, he decides to push for change with only determination and his skill with words. The conflict centers on whether conviction and eloquence can move a broken society, or whether the machinery of fragmentation will swallow him whole. It is an adaptation of the manga of the same name.
